Official Illegally Enriched Himself by Almost 14 Million Hryvnias

During the period from 2022 to 2023, an official illegally enriched himself by almost 14 million hryvnias. With this money, he purchased two apartments in new buildings, a garage, and a parking space in Kyiv, as well as three premium-class cars, including brands such as LEXUS and BMW.

Attempts to Hide Assets

To avoid detection of hidden assets, the official registered them in the name of his civilian wife, while retaining power of attorney to manage this property himself. In addition, he failed to declare over 3 million hryvnias, and another 3.5 million he kept with his wife.

Legal Consequences

Currently, the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine has informed the Minister of Defense’s official about suspicions under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. If guilt is proven, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
