The Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, has always attracted the attention of archaeologists and historians from around the world. It is the largest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau and one of the most prominent and mysterious ancient structures. The mysterious chambers of the pyramid, the discovery of which only highlighted the enigmatic history of it, are of particular interest.
Known chambers in the Great Pyramid
To date, several main chambers are known inside the Great Pyramid:
- The Pharaoh’s Chamber, located in the center of the pyramid.
- The Queen’s Chamber, located below the Pharaoh’s Chamber.
- The Grand Gallery, which is a large corridor leading to the Pharaoh’s Chamber.
- The Lower Chamber or Unfinished Chamber, located beneath the base of the pyramid.
Mysterious chambers and discoveries
Regarding the mysterious chambers, their discovery has been the subject of numerous speculations and studies. One of the most important discoveries in recent years was the identification of the so-called «Great Void» inside the pyramid, the dimensions of which reach about 30 meters in length. This discovery was made in 2017 using muon radiography technology, which allows for the exploration of the pyramid’s structure without compromising its integrity.
