The Israeli government has presented a project for the reconstruction and economic reintegration of Gaza. According to documents from the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a long-term program of infrastructure development and investments is planned for the revitalization of the region’s economy.
The plan includes three stages for the restoration of self-governance in Gaza.
The first stage, «Humanitarian Aid,» is designed for 12 months and involves creating Hamas-free zones. Humanitarian aid will be distributed and monitored by a coalition of Arab countries, under the supervision of which local Palestinians will manage secure zones.
The second stage, planned for the next five to ten years, involves ensuring Israel’s security and establishing a multilateral body to oversee Gaza’s reconstruction.
