Elina Svitolina Continues Triumph at Roland Garros: Victory in Second Round

Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (No. 19 WTA) has claimed another impressive victory at the French Open.

In the second round match, the 15th seeded Svitolina confidently defeated French player Diane Parry (No. 61 WTA) with a score of 6-4, 7-6(3).

This is already the second meeting between the two players in the past ten days — Svitolina also won in Strasbourg.

In the next round, Svitolina will face either Ana Bogdan (No. 64 WTA) or Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (No. 22 WTA).

In order to retain the title of Ukraine’s top seed, Svitolina needs to reach the quarterfinals of Roland Garros 2024.

Recall that Marta Kostyuk lost her singles match, while Dayana Yastremska continues to fight confidently in the tournament.
