The Deportation of a Foreigner

The migration service of Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions recently announced on Facebook the successful deportation of a foreign citizen who had been evading authorities in multiple regions.

The 33-year-old individual had initially arrived in Ukraine in November 2019 for study purposes. However, in July 2022, he was discovered in Odesa without proper documentation by officials from the Main Department of the State Migration Service. Despite being issued a deportation order and given a month to leave the country, he chose to ignore the instructions.

In August 2023, the foreign national was located again, this time in Kirovohrad region, by the Security Service of Ukraine. As a result, the migration service decided to proceed with his forcible deportation and imposed a 5-year ban on his return.

Earlier this year, a citizen of Turkmenistan was apprehended in Cherkasy and placed in a temporary detention center to facilitate his court-ordered deportation.

Officials from Kirovohrad region, along with the Security Service of Ukraine, escorted the individual to the «Palanka — Mayaki — Udobne» border checkpoint with the Republic of Moldova for repatriation to his home country.
