A resident of Melitopol accused of attempting to target energy infrastructure
A 25-year-old resident of Melitopol has been arrested, accused of attempting to target objects of the energy infrastructure. He is charged under Art. 30, pt. «a» Art. 205, pt. 2 Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted act of terrorism, illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation of explosives or explosive devices).
The investigators believe that the resident pulled out an explosive device and planned an attack on an energy facility, carrying out tasks for Ukrainian special services. Currently, the FSB and the Investigative Committee are searching for his accomplices, whom they plan to «expose».
The name of the arrested individual has not yet been disclosed, but they plan to arrest other individuals whom they consider disloyal. Several sentences have already been handed down in Melitopol for «failure to report on preparations for terrorist acts».
The Russian occupiers have not revealed the name of the arrested individual or shown footage of the arrest, presumably preparing a «blockbuster» to intimidate the residents.
