8-year-old girl bitten by snake while vacationing in Lviv region
An 8-year-old girl, who was vacationing at a recreation center in the village of Khorosno in Lviv region, was bitten by a snake. This was reported by «Suspilne», citing information from local medics.
The child was urgently hospitalized to the Lviv Children’s Hospital of St. Nicholas. Doctors from the department of anesthesiology and intensive care provided her with necessary medical assistance: they performed shock control measures and carried out infusion therapy. The girl’s condition stabilized, and after a day in the intensive care unit, she was transferred to the surgical department.
Currently, the child’s condition is assessed as satisfactory. Doctors have warned about the activity of snakes during this time of year, especially in humid and mountainous areas, therefore they urge to be especially careful in nature.
