Vatican Secretary of State Visits Odessa
Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State, recently visited the Odessa region. During his visit to the city of Odessa, he met with representatives of the Catholic community and learned about the important role of the Ukrainian grain corridor in global food security. The cardinal also visited the ruined Cathedral of the Transfiguration, which was destroyed during the Russian attack.
Head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported on Telegram that this visit is the first by the Vatican Secretary of State to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.
