Exotic Birds Enjoying Spring at Kyiv Zoo
At the Kyiv Zoo, with the onset of warm weather, a pair of white-throated calaos have been moved to the summer aviary. According to the press service of Kyiv Zoo, Kosha and Kora are now enjoying spring in the Fruit Garden near the Central Alley of the zoo.
These birds are not only known for their bright feathers and unusual beaks, but also for their unique dietary habits. Their diet includes a combination of berries and fruits, eggs and insects, porridge and vegetables, as well as rodents, frogs, and lizards.
The conditions for keeping calaos at Kyiv Zoo are as close to natural as possible, with drinking fountains, green bushes, trees, and grass providing a comfortable environment for these exotic birds.
