Ukrainian TV host Kostyantyn Hrubych
recalled the important communication with Andriy Danylko, the creator of Verka Serduchka, with whom he has been friends for a long time.

shared that the last time they had a serious conversation was about ten years ago, when Andriy called him in tears after the tragic death of his daughter Olya in a car accident. Danylko expressed his condolences, asked for forgiveness, and expressed his desire to be the godfather to the host’s child, which circumstances did not allow.
«We last spoke when the tragedy with Olya happened.
He called me crying. He and Inna of course wanted to be the godparents. We met from time to time, and he always asked about my Olya. It was more than ten years ago,» Kostyantyn said in an interview with Slava Dyomin.
Currently, their communication
is limited to occasional letters and holiday greetings, but the host emphasized that their friendship remains strong.
«I always congratulate him on his birthday on October 2nd.
He replies. Although we don’t talk every day, I know that we remain friends. That’s enough,» Kostyantyn added.
