For a 98-year-old resident of Ocheretino, Donetsk region, who walked out of the occupied streets of the town, charity workers have promised to buy a new house. This was announced by the founder of «Monobank» Oleg Gorokhovsky.
«Monobank will buy a house for Lydia Stepanivna, and she will definitely live in it until this adversity disappears from our land,» emphasized Oleg Gorokhovsky.
Lydia Stepanivna traveled 10 kilometers on foot from the town of Ocheretino, avoiding Russian occupation. She walked all day without food and water, collapsed several times from exhaustion. The woman held on to two crutches and, despite the dangerous path under fire, managed to survive.
At first, the grandmother was placed in a shelter, and then her granddaughter took her in.
Lydia Stepanivna’s house was damaged by shelling, and her relatives were injured.
