Lothar Matthäus backs Julian Nagelsmann for Bayern Munich head coach position
Former Bayern Munich midfielder Lothar Matthäus has voiced his support for Julian Nagelsmann to take over as the new head coach of the team. Nagelsmann was previously dismissed by the club’s management in March 2023, but Matthäus believes he is the best fit for the position.
According to Sky Sports, Matthäus praised Nagelsmann’s deep understanding of the club and his ability to play attractive and effective football. Despite being let go last season when Bayern Munich was a serious contender for victory in all competitions, Nagelsmann’s potential has not gone unnoticed.
