Kyiv City Council bans off-road vehicle races on nature reserve territories
Kyiv City Council has decided to ban off-road vehicle races on nature reserve territories in Kyiv. The decision, supported by 69 deputies, aims to protect the Muromets-Lopukhovat and Osokorky Meadows reserves from off-roading activities.
The draft decision, registered in the City Council in October of last year, prohibits the conduct of competitions, races, rallies, and trophy raids using jeeps and ATVs within the objects and territories of the natural reserve fund.
Deputy Ksenia Semenova, who initiated the project, highlighted the importance of this ban in strengthening the protection of natural reserves in Kyiv. The decision was developed in collaboration with the Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Center, setting a precedent for similar restrictions at the state level.
