Russian Special Services Manipulate Information about Ukrainian Prisoners of War
Russian special services have created fake «civil organizations» that actively collect information about Ukrainian prisoners of war and missing persons, says the Coordinating Committee for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
These organizations spread information online about the prisoners, claiming to have access to their places of detention.
In this way, Russian special services are trying to obtain sensitive information necessary for further manipulation and pressure on the families of the prisoners. Among the information being collected are investigative reports, personal data, photos with fellow soldiers, and more.
The Coordinating Committee urges families not to provide any personal information about their loved ones in Russian captivity or those who are considered missing to unknown individuals and «organizations».
