Unemployment Benefits in Donetsk Region

According to information from the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the amount of unemployment benefits is determined based on insurance experience, reasons for termination of employment, and earnings before dismissal. This information was provided by RBC-Ukraine.

The amount of assistance is calculated as a percentage of the average wage, but cannot be less than the minimum amount. Here is how it works:

  • Up to 3 years of experience — 50%
  • From 3 to 6 years — 55%
  • From 6 to 12 years — 60%
  • From 12 to 18 years — 65%
  • From 18 to 24 years — 70%
  • From 24 to 30 years — 75%
  • Over 30 years — 80%

It is also worth noting that if an employee’s work experience is at least 15 years and they have not received unemployment benefits during this time, their assistance is increased by 10 percentage points.

During times of war, the duration of unemployment benefits is limited to 90 days, but the Social Security Fund has increased the minimum amount of assistance from 1000 to 1500 hryvnia. Refugees receive 2500 hryvnia.
