Concerns about Possible Second Invasion
During the telethon, the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, stated that in the regions of the Russian Federation bordering Kharkiv Oblast, there are not enough troops for a possible second invasion.
«We do not exclude the possibility of tactical actions by the Russians,» he added. In particular, Ukrainian defense forces in Sumy region actively oppose provocations by Russian sabotage-reconnaissance groups, but such incidents have not been recorded in Kharkiv Oblast recently.
To prevent a possible offensive, defensive structures are actively being built in Kharkiv Oblast and three defense lines are being organized.
Countering Disinformation
In recent weeks, Russian information resources have been actively spreading messages about readiness to advance on Kharkiv, mass evacuation of local residents, and involving veterans in the defense of the city. The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine qualifies such messages as fakes aimed at sowing panic among the civilian population and undermining trust in public authorities and the military.
The Center for Countering Disinformation calls on people to trust only official Ukrainian sources of information.
