Ukraine plans to resume ferry connection with Georgia

Ukraine is set to reopen the ferry route with Georgia, with the first trip from Chornomorsk to Batumi scheduled for July 9th. According to the Ukrferry website, the journey is expected to take about 60 hours.

The passenger ferry «Kaunas» to operate on the route

The ferry «Kaunas» will be operating on this route, offering transportation for cars and railway wagons. The vessel, built in Germany in 1989, is ready to welcome passengers for this journey.

Previous plans for the ferry route

Initially, the ship was meant to service the route between Chornomorsk and Constanta, but it will now be connecting Ukraine and Georgia instead.
