The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has received 70 ambulances from the South Korean government to provide urgent medical assistance during the conflict. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukraine had already received 30 such ambulances from Seoul. Overall, in recent months, South Korea has provided Ukraine with a total of 100 ambulances as humanitarian aid.
These ambulances will be used to provide necessary assistance to patients who require additional medical interventions to sustain life during transportation to hospitals or between them.
The ambulances are equipped with appropriate equipment for providing emergency medical care to patients during transportation.
South Korea’s assistance to Ukraine is not limited to providing ambulances. In September, it was announced that South Korea would provide financial assistance to Ukraine for reconstruction, in the amount of $2.3 billion.
Ukrainian Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko stated that in the initial stage, these funds can be used for purchasing equipment, and starting from 2025 — for reconstruction.
It’s also worth noting that South Korea will provide $12 million for military rehabilitation through NATO’s Trust Fund for Ukraine. These funds will be used to support wounded Ukrainian soldiers in the NATO Military Medical Rehabilitation Center.
