Former Head of Municipal Medical Institution to Be Judged for Mismanagement
A former head of a municipal medical institution in the Odessa region is facing trial for misappropriating over 900 thousand hryvnias intended for the purchase of medical supplies, according to the prosecutor’s office.
The Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office has sent an indictment to the court, alleging that the accused, in March 2022, entered into agreements with a supplier without conducting a tender process, resulting in purchases being made at prices more than double the market value.
The investigation revealed that the overpayment for the medical materials amounted to over 900 thousand hryvnias. A lawsuit has been filed to recover the damages caused by the crime.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the State Investigation Department of the National Police in the Odessa region, with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region.
