Fifty oaks planted near Park of Partisan Glory in honor of Shevchenko
Fifty oaks were recently planted near the Park of Partisan Glory in honor of Taras Shevchenko, according to the Darnytskyi District State Administration.
Eco-initiative «Shevchenko Unites Ukraine»
The trees were planted as part of the eco-initiative «Shevchenko Unites Ukraine», which was initiated by the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine as part of the presidential program «Green Country».
Seedlings collected from Shevchenko’s hiding place
The seedlings used for the planting were collected from an oak tree where Taras Shevchenko used to hide his drawings, adding a special significance to the initiative.
Efforts to preserve the environment
The Darnytskyi District State Administration highlighted that this initiative is not only a tribute to Shevchenko’s memory, but also an important effort to unite in preserving the environment for future generations.
