Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Romanian President Klaus Johannis have signed an Agreement on cooperation in the field of security. According to the agreement, Romania will transfer the Patriot system to Ukraine.

This news was officially announced by the President of Ukraine on the official website.

The agreement also includes Romania’s participation in ensuring security at sea in the Black Sea region through a coalition of maritime security capabilities.

Furthermore, Romania will cooperate with Ukraine in demining the Black Sea, including joint actions against drifting sea mines.

Additionally, Romania will provide individual and collective training for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and instructor training programs.

The agreement also stipulates that in the event of a significant escalation of Russian aggression against Ukraine, Romania will, if necessary, provide Ukraine with immediate and continuous security assistance, military equipment of all kinds, economic support, and will support the introduction of European economic and other sanctions against Russia.
