Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Participate in D-Day Anniversary Events in France

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will arrive in France to take part in events marking the 80th anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy. Macron stated that discussions on further support for Ukraine will be held during Zelensky’s visit.

The international ceremony will be held on June 6 in Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer on Omaha Beach, with the presence of numerous world leaders expected. Russia has been invited to the memorial events to honor the contributions of the Soviet peoples in World War II, but Russian President Vladimir Putin has not been invited due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
