Restrictions on the number of transfers from card to card up to 30 transactions per month will not affect 99% of citizens and will bring additional funds to the budget. Individual limits may be set for volunteers.
This was announced by the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshny.
According to him, financial institutions do not expect a negative impact on the activities of volunteers. Thanks to a risk-oriented approach, individual limits can be established for volunteers.
«The restrictions will in no way affect the activities of volunteers! The number of possible incoming transactions to the card remains unchanged, and volunteers can continue to raise funds. Restrictions only apply to ‘outgoing’ payments,» he said.
To discuss possible issues, the NBU plans to organize a meeting with representatives of financial institutions and volunteers to discuss all issues and, where necessary, «adjust decisions.»
Also, operations with IBAN requisites will remain without any restrictions.
The changes are aimed at combating illegal financial transactions, such as drug trafficking, illegal gambling, and other shadow schemes.
According to Pyshny, 98.44% of bank clients will not feel the restrictions of 30 transactions per month, and the limit of 100,000 hryvnias will not affect 95% of clients.
