Hieromonk Makariy Dutka Sets New Powerlifting Record

Hieromonk Makariy Dutka of the Holy Dormition Unievsky Lavra recently set a new record in Ukraine and was crowned the Ukrainian champion in powerlifting. The priest, who announced his achievement on Facebook, won the bench press exercise by lifting an impressive 193 kg.

Charity Fundraiser for Ukrainian Soldiers

In addition to his victory, Hieromonk Makariy Dutka has also announced a charity fundraiser to purchase 33 drones for the fighters of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. The fundraiser has already raised a total of 500,000 UAH. As part of this initiative, the priest will be awarding eight prizes to the largest donors, including a large Ukrainian flag signed by Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
